"We're Enchanted With Quilting!"
featuring Cindy Kurey, "Why Should I Have My Quilts Appraised?"
Many quiltmakers and collectors ask “Why should I have my quilts appraised?” It is an important question to ask. Cindy Kurey received her professional quilt appraisal training in 2018 and she'll discuss quilt appraisals. Following her lecture, you'll have the chance to purchase a vintage quilt during a bag auction of several vintage quilts donated to NMQA. All proceeds go to NMQA. You can also have your quilt appraised ($45 for a written appraisal, $30 for verbal) -- contact Kathy McLaren to get on the schedule.
Cindy, a quilter since 1979, worked at The Quilt Works, Albuquerque, NM, for over 18 years where she also taught quilting classes. Currently she enjoys making and collecting quilts she researches for quilt presentations. She is a member of American Quilters Society (AQS), American Quilt Study Group (AQSG), NM Quilters Association (NMQA), Duke City Applique Society, Albuquerque Modern Quilt Guild and Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA).
We'll have Show & Tell at the meeting! If you're attending in person, bring your item with you and if you're attending through zoom, send your photos to Kris Lange, klange@email.com at least 48 hours before the meeting.
