Announcing a Balloon Craft Work Day!
Plan to stay after the January 27 meeting for an hour or two of Balloon Fiesta Craft related fun. We will have a new and easy kit available! It sews up quick and offers a great opportunity for embellishment. The big-bang-for-your-buck design features some fun Kokopelli panels and a coordinating balloon print.
We will also have a mini class on making the easy balloons that were used in last year’s Triple Decker wall-hangings. Not to brag, but…We sold out of those last year and would like to make some more! Making the balloons is a great scrap buster! These balloons are typically 5 pieces or less and are MUCH easier than the realistic ones we make for the raffle quilt. A direction sheet and a cardboard template will be provided.
Plus you can begin working on any of the kits we have available. If you have questions about how to complete any of the kits; we have answers!
Bring your sewing machine, basic tools and some neutral thread, if you’d like to sew (not necessary if you’re coming to the mini class) and your lunch! We’ll get started after the meeting ends and finish up by 2.
Balloon Craft work days happen after many day meetings - make a New Year’s resolution to attend a couple! If you’re new to NMQA, this is a great way to get involved and meet some new quilt friends!
